Pato about to return in Serie A
Seven year after his farewell from AC Milan, Alexandre Pato is about to return in Serie A with another Italian club.
AC Milan fan favorite Alexandre Pato recently announced that he will be leaving Sao Paulo. After just one season with the Brazilians, the 31-year-old centre forward reached an agreement with Sao Paulo for the termination of his contract.
The reason behind this move it believed to be Alexandre Pato’s desire to return to Serie A. The Brazilian forward is in fact in talks with an Italian club.
Negotiations have proceeded really well and Pato is close to joining Genoa. According to Sportmediaset, Genoa were after Pato for a while and now that the Brazilian striker if a free agent there are not obstacles for the Rossoblu.
Pato seemed very close to signing with his first club, Internacional, but the interest of Genoa has made the Duck to change his mind. The former AC Milan striker feel nostalgic of Italy.
At the age of 31, therefore, Pato is ready to relaunch himself in Serie A, precisely seven and a half years after his farewell to Milan. The Brazilian prodigy scored 63 goals in 150 appearances with the Rossoneri.
